Medianoche Reserve Replacement

After further testing and lab analysis performed over the past several weeks, we have discovered that some bottles of Medianoche Reserve have developed off-flavors, most likely caused by souring bacteria from the coconut addition. These off-flavors are most commonly characterized by a noticeable tartness or acidity, reminiscent of sour cherries, as well as diacetyl as a precursor (buttered popcorn). We recommend that any unopened bottles be stored cold and consumed sooner rather than later. Bottles that have been affected are still safe to drink and do not present any health risks to consumers, they are just not representative of the flavor of the beer as we intended.

At WeldWerks, we take pride in our uncompromising commitment to both quality and service and whenever issues arise, we do everything we can to make them right. Therefore, we are offering a replacement bottle of Mexican Medianoche to anyone who has experienced issues with their bottles of Medianoche Reserve. Mexican Medianoche is an exclusive variant that will not be released to the public, aged for 16 months in Woodford Reserve Rye Whiskey barrels, then aged on Vietnamese cinnamon sticks, Indonesian cassia bark, Ghanan cacao nibs and Madagascar vanilla beans.

Replacement bottles can be requested by completing the claim form below. All claims must be submitted by December 31, 2017. The pick up window for replacement bottles will begin sometime in January once the beer is packaged and ready, and will last until July 1, 2018.

Each claim must include a picture of the open affected bottle with the original 9-digit Eventbrite order number written across the top-middle part of the label (see picture below for reference). Pictures must be 1 MB or smaller and the open cap and legible order number must be clearly visible. Claims can be submitted by anyone in possession of an affected bottle of Medianoche Reserve, not just the original purchaser. And only the original Eventbrite order number is required, not the name of the original purchaser.

All claims will be reviewed after the claim window has closed on December 31, 217. Once claims have been approved, an Eventbrite code will be generated and sent to the email address provided on the claim sometime in January, which must be redeemed for the free Eventbrite ticket for the replacement bottle of Mexican Medianoche. Unlike previous Eventbrite releases, proxies will be allowed to pick up bottles on another person’s behalf, as long as proxies are provided with the valid Eventbrite Mexican Medianoche ticket by the individual who filed the claim. Bottles will only be available for pick up from the taproom during the pick up window lasting until July 1, 2018.

We are very sorry for the issue but rest assured, we will continue to seek ways to improve each batch to avoid similar issues in the future. We are incredibly grateful for your continued support and if you have any questions, comments or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us at
